Virginia soapstone collected on "John Boy Walton's" Mountain in Nelson County. Unique material which was used all over the U.S. for laboratory bench tops. This material makes great hand warmers because of the small amount of water trapped with the matrix. A microwave oven is used to heat this trapped water.
