Prized all over the world, Sweetwater agates are truly unique. These small dendritic agates can be found throughout a wide area north of Jeffrey City in central Wyoming. Within the collecting area the Sweetwater River meanders and thus the name. Because these agates consist of very fine grain cryptocrystalline chalcedony, they take a wonderful polish. These agates were tumbled polished.
